Geography/Requirements:

Your studio should be within the geographical triangle between Brighton, Tunbridge Wells and Rye. You will be expected to make your own travel arrangements monthly to Hastings for Artists talks and seminars and to be able to transport your work to Hastings two or three times a year for group crits. To get the most out of the programme you will be encouraged to visit your peers in their studios and invite them to your studio outside of the structured aspects of the course.

If you are concerned about where your studio is and if it will be logistically possible to include you in the programme please contact us BEFORE you apply and we can advise. Contact us at info@turpsbanana.com

Turps | Hastings Off Site Programme is an alternative learning programme, not an accredited educational qualification. It is an opportunity for painters who are experienced in their practice to further their exploration of the media and reenergize that practice through intense work ethic and critical response engagement with peers and practicing artists within a supportive timetabled structure.
