TURPS RESIDENCY

Turps Residency is an intensive 6 week residency for painters where 3-4 artists can work together in a communal studio at Turps Gallery to make new work. There will be 3 residencies running throughout 2024/25 academic year. The resident painters will receive two 1-2-1 tutorials with a Turps mentor. The residency will conclude with a group exhibition at Turps Gallery and an end of residency crit.
Turps Residency is aimed at painters who want to spend a concentrated period of time making and working alongside other artists.
Please note the residency is providing studio space only. For those living outside of London, you will need to find your own accommodation during your stay.
OVERVIEW
7 week residency (5 weeks of studio time, 1 week to prepare the space and install the final show, 1 week for show and crit)
Each resident is given a studio space with 24 hour access, 7 days a week
Two 1-2-1 tutorials with Turps mentor and peer-to-peer contact with other painters
Access to Turps & MASS Circle, an online platform for all current and former Turps and MASS artists
1 day visiting London galleries
Residency cost for 2024/25: £1600
